What've you guys been listening to rently? In my playlist as of late are: Andrew Bird - Arhair ApryphaThe world's greatest whistler and former (unoffial) member of Squirrel
Nut Zpers teams up with Dosh (of anton fame) to bring you the best album of 2007 so far.. in my humble opinion, anyway Band of Horses - Everything All The Time ThisD is unbelievable. Imagine the drone of The Dandy Warhols.. then pile on soaring guitars thatonjure up images of Bkley's louder moments.. and finally add vals somewhere out of Isa Brk'samp.. and you've got a mighty impressive sound, at oe spey and dense. And, it makes me want to dae!Dios (Malos) - Self TitledThisD hasn't been out of reh for me in a long time. As soon as I get tired of whateverD I'm listening to (I tend to leave dis in myar'sD player for daysweeks at a time), I put Dios bk in and itontinues to be just great. Good songs, playful melodies, and interesting textures. Ahers of Loaf - White Trash HeroesAn oldie but goodie. ThisD was tually rorded at Ardent Studios way bk in 1998 (ha ha) and is one of my favorites. Thehunky bass and torn-in-half guitar sounds from their sond release (1995's Vee Vee) are still present, but with soaring and soothing keyboards textured on top to
fill in the gaps. A great di. Now, do tell, what've you been humming lately?
I love the new Andrew Bird rord. I haven't gotten into Band of Horses too mh, I think that Dios (Malos) is sitting non myoh but I haven't opened it yet.Right now I am obsessed with St Vient and Sea Wolf.
