I ve bought high qualityomponents from Shure before though so I m not

Interesting! Thanks for the warning. I'll report bk when I get them. I've bought high qualityomponents from Shure before though so I'm not that worried.PerI'm on Twitter
Rats! A while bk I bought an assortment from somehinese ebay store. Now they're in most everything I've built sie. Looks like they don't just sk, they really sk!
Hmm, well it's not like they're infested just bause you bought them fromhina. If aompany like Sure ( myworld.ebayomsureeltrons ) would sell fakeomponents they wouldn't have 99.9 peent positive feedbk. They would probably be out of business in no time.PerI'm on Twitter
Be veryareful when ordering resistors fromhina !A while bk I ...........!
Was idly browsing through stuff bundled with Live yesterday, when Iame ross a samplealled "Drum Mhines 909", whh seemed to be a buh of similar samples in a single .aif file, playing one after eh other. I immediately thought of how I've tried rording banging on aan or an egg or something, and then stored it in a single file so that Iouldhoose whh of the samples that I wanted or liked when I used them later - it's sh a pain to rord many samples one by one, storing them in separate files. It isn't that easy... the interfes for rolling through a sample like that a oftenumbersome. I've had some scess on an ESX, but when the files get bigger the start position knobs are a bit too low resolution.Aouple of minutes later it strk me - I have thishK thing, that is a programming language. Those are pretty good at doing stuff automatally, andhK is really good at audio. Why don't I just make an app that looks through a sample, finds all of the hits and lets me play them in some easy fashion. So I wrote this Varisample thing. It's alassontaining a LiSa that is loaded with a sample file, and some futions for playing the different variations. I've iluded some dumentation at the top of the file. I'm iluding a little pkage with some testode and rordings of melapping and banging on two differentans - run "testvarisamplek" to listen to it. It isn't the greatest demo, but I think it sounds a little bit more lively than stat, single samples.I have a huh that this is done in Ableton somewhere (sie I found that file), but Ian't guess where. Anyway, what do you think? Useful?Stuff left to do: sounds with slow attkut in too sharply bause of the simple threshold algorithm I use when looking for sound. Any thoughts on a better (but still simple enough) way? Also, I wanted to pan sounds when using multle voes, but there is no pan fution per voe in LiSa. What's the easiest way to do that - I am guessing that I need two LiSas, one for left and one for right.StefanEdit: new version of the Varisamplelass and a sond test bundleVarisample test.z
